The Buccaneer Aviation Group is looking for passionate volunteers to join our team and help preserve the history and memories of the Blackburn Buccaneer.
Our volunteers get involved in a number of roles, from aircraft maintenance to public engagement to shop operations. No matter your background or skill level, we welcome anyone with enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
TBAG roles are as follows.
Admin – Admin work is mainly done remotely away from the aircraft, which supports the Operations Team, Events Team, and Shop Operations. Tasks might include replying to enquiries, contributing/sourcing information for our annual magazine, and planning upcoming events.
Engineering Volunteers – Tasks may include: preparing the jets and site for events, undertaking routine maintenance tasks, and repairs. The team is also looking for people keen to learn the inside and out of the aircraft, which will help towards troubleshooting issues that might arise and carrying out tasks to fix the issues.
Photography / Media – Support our Digital Marketing team, helping to promote the group’s activities via our social media pages, creating content for our social media outlets, and the website. Provide images for the group’s annual magazine.
Shop Operations / Public Engagement (at Cotswold Airport & Across the Country) – Tasks may include: setting up and taking down the shop at events, selling items, managing stock, taking donations, promoting the group’s activities, and showing people around our travelling cockpit.

All volunteers are encouraged to help maintain the TBAG site, and there are always the options to take part in more than one role, e.g., engineering & shop. TBAG is also happy to take on volunteers of any age (within reason).
Please note that membership of the group involves a monthly subscription fee to keep the aircraft in working order (exceptions may be made based on personal circumstances, e.g., in education).
Fill out the form below to express interest in volunteering with the group. The team looks forward to discussing further steps.
